EUROPE

AT THE COMFORT OF YOUR BED

DIFFERENT CITY, SAME BED

EXPLORE THE WORLD WHILE AT HOME

Planning your holiday abroad can become stressful: booking the flights, finding the hotel,  fitting your belongings into the luggage allowance. Even when everything is planned out, so many things have a tendency to go wrong. Flight delays, overweight suitcases that leave you with a hefty fee and a hotel room that is no where close to what you expected.

Leave all this trouble behind and travel through Europe with a motorhome. Unlimited luggage, a comfortable bed just a chair’s whirl away and the complete control of your time are just a few benefits that home on wheels offers.

With Elliotts, you can camp out on the beaches of Normandy or wake up to a sunrise over the Alps, all of it from the comfort of your motorhome. Once you choose if your destination is easier to access by the Channel Tunnel or by the ferry, give us a call and we will help you make the arrangements.

We will need an advance notice, so the paperwork is ready for your European adventure.

TRAVELLING TO EUROPE

OTHER THINGS TO CONSIDER.

  • Travel Insurance for you and your motorhome companions.

We will take care of the motorhome insurance for you, but you should consider insuring getting a travel insurance for you and your party. Hopefully, you will not need to use it, but better be safe than sorry. European Health Insurance Card (EHIC) Check your EHIC cards expiry date or apply for one if you haven’t already. It will cover the emergency healthcare needs and also includes treatment of pre-existing conditions.

  • Familiarise yourself with the driving laws in the countries you are planning to visit.
  • Inform your bank about your travel plans.

Many UK banks require a notice of your travel plans and failing to do so can result in a blocked debit card. You should be able to give them notice using your online banking account.

  • Where to park your motorhome.

Campsites Perfect for relaxation, soaking in the sun and a good place for child-friendly activities. But they can get pricey and booked up during high season.

  • Approved Motorhome parking areas

Perfect if you want to keep moving every few days and explore new areas. They are also a lot cheaper (5 to 10 euros) and available in most towns and villages throughout Europe. Look for Aires in France, Sostas in Italy, or Stellplatz in Germany. Wild camping Perfect for getting away from the world and enjoying the freedom. However, you will need to find places to safely dispose your rubbish, general waste and toilet cassette.
